    David Elitzer (he/him) is a rabbinical student at Hebrew Union College and a chaplain intern at NYU Langone Health. David often teaches about spirituality, archaeology, and social justice, and he can frequently be found playing the banjo or guitar. Before rabbinical school, he was a war crimes researcher focused on cultural heritage destruction. David is passionate about urban gardening and challah baking, and he has dabbled in carpentry and urban design. He lives in Brooklyn with his partner, Rhea (see below), and their dachshund, Earl.

    Josh Kurtz (he/him) is a weaver and writer based in Somerville, Massachusetts. He is currently a Masters of Divinity candidate at Harvard Divinity School, where he studies Judaism, spiritual care, grief, and ethics. He has previously worked as a community organizer and educator in Washington, DC, and Brasov, Romania.

    He is interested in exploring Jewish and Romanian craft traditions, as well as building creative and justice-centered craft communities. His writing has been published in the Smithsonian Folklife Magazine; Colorado Review; the Academy of American Poets; and Cobra Milk.

    Rhea Stark (she/her) is an artist, curator, and sometimes archaeologist based in Brooklyn, NY. Currently she is a doctoral student at Columbia University where she mostly reads and on good days writes about medieval Islamic and Jewish art, the material productions of heterodox faith communities, orientalism, and disability aesthetics. Rhea is also a researcher at the Met and has previously worked as a curatorial assistant and museum educator at the Brooklyn Museum and Met Cloisters. She is interested in fermentation, ceramics, and things buried beneath the surface of the earth. She lives in Brooklyn with her partner, David (see above), and their dachshund, Earl.
